INDOEK: 27 FRAMES

In an event that capped off a year long project, the 27 Frames art show and silent auction celebrated the work of 30 of Indoek’s favorite photographers by sending them disposable cameras and exhibited the resulting film photography.

The disposable cameras covered a lot of ground — Hawaii, New York, all over California, Canada, Iceland, Russia, South America, Mexico, Africa, Asia, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Tahiti, the Caribbean, Australia, Greece, Fiji, the Northeast, Pacific Northwest and the Colorado Rockies. Some were lost along the way, but every time one of the cameras found its way back to Indoek’s studio in Los Angeles it was like getting a present in the mail, and we couldn’t wait to see where it had been. Indoek curated 88 images from the project, and filled the walls of Think Tank Gallery, which were auctioned off with 100% of sales donated to Surfrider Foundation.

The show was sponsored by Zico Coconut Watercocktails and Dexter’s Camera, and featured live music by DJ Osamu and Morgan Delt, good times were had by all.
