A COFFEE SHOW ABOUT ART

In 2013, Think Tank Gallery collaborated with La Marzocco, Stumptown Coffee and the LA Coffee Club to produce Coffeegraph. The experience featured artwork derived from coffee products by Avi Roth and an interactive installation by Garrett Kovacs that functioned as an espresso bar, inviting a different roaster from the emerging DTLA coffee scene to take over the venue each week.

The show was a pivotal one, defining every production that followed it. Our first to introduce interactive and immersive environments to our guests, our first to incorporate themed nightly programming into the experience itself by hosting dozens of events from a swing dancing performance to an latte art competition between local roasters, and our first to result in significant fine art sales, Coffeegraph unlocked a new era for our previously ragtag art collective.
