THE SUMMIT THAT DEFINES THE INDUSTRY
In 2018, the Immersive Design Summit brought together some of the leading creators in the immersive arts to share thoughts and ideas,
creating new friendships and inspiring new projects. (See 2018 programming here)
This annual, tightly curated conference brings together a cross-section of the leading creators in the immersive arts and technology—from theatre to theme parks, escape rooms to mixed reality and beyond— to share insights, forge new friendships, and inspire new projects. The dynamic mix of attendees and speakers represent some of the biggest names in immersive entertainment, and the innovators who will shape the future of immersive design, and define the terms that outline its constantly evolving boundaries.

Our guests' and talent's reach ranges from private, single guest experiences like Whisper Lodge to massive cultural commodities with 270 million annual visitors like Disney's parks. IDS is where the creators of these experiences meet each year. WHICH MARKETS DO WE TOUCH?

Should we put categories and definitions here? Really tough to do without listing 85 terms and a sentence for each…

Should we add descriptions somewhere? Should we link out to them? Maybe add a couple more so that we have an even grid?

((HEADER GRAPHIC: WHAT’S NEW FOR 2019?))
Building on the success of the inaugural 2018 Summit, our 2019 edition will expand from one day to two and double the attendance capacity. As such, we’re able to bring even more influential and inspiring creators and producers across the spectrum of immersive arts & technology together. The expanded schedule will let us dive deeper into the issues that matter most to our community, and this year’s Summit will feature more participatory elements, and provides space for installations and technology demonstrations in the lounge area during the Summit, and through the Friday and Saturday night parties. Noah, can you please reach out to the venue reps for a location package of images and floor plans? Also a boiler plate/description of the venue if they have one. We will work that into the copy for this section. Noah, can you please reach out to the venue reps for a location package of images and floor plans? Dreams/Goals from Attendees for Coming Years (Trends)
The Library of Experiential Art & Design
In 2018, we collected artifacts from our speakers and guests’ projects and presented them at our party. In 2019, we would like to feature an exhibition at our venue of artifacts, props, paraphernalia, and equipment from immersive experience around the globe, demonstrating the history of the art form and rich panoply of experiences.
Immersive Design Week
An entire week of experiences, pop-ups, and showcases leading up to the Summit, celebrating its host city and giving attendees a chance to spend a week in the Immersive capital of the world, alternating between immersive theatrical experiences, mixed reality experiences, alternate reality games, escape rooms, and more. Devotees of the craft should be able to pack in an entire week of diverse immersive entertainment.
Programming Possibilities:
Movie screening of Latitude movie
Odyssey Works workshop
Other workshops
Shows by Epic (Onedome, Whitechapel, Rathskeller)
Speakeasy trip
Onedome trip
Onedome party
Support individual Speakers
Scholarships
Lowering ticket price
In our quest to have a robust and diverse group of attendees possible we would dearly like to have a (need language about type of sponsor that marks as lower than Meow Wolf but not by much— Premiere? Probably instead of Marquee?) sponsor whose participation could be pegged to the lowering of the overall ticket price. (NN 10/28)
Parties & Catering
We have sponsorship opportunities for two parties for attendees— one on-site (Friday) and one off-site (Saturday night), a VIP/speaker dinner (Thursday), a speaker/volunteer/VIP brunch (Sunday) and four on-site meals.
We should probably supplement all of this with imagery throughout, will let you decide how this should look, Dino.

Need an image for each item that we land on. Build from here:
(See previous documents/conversations. Also note:
Meals and parties (stated above)
Demo area in the lounge — it’s not huge so we shouldn’t oversell.
Step and repeat (Fri and Sat — one or separate. Not exclusive.)
Photoboth(s)
Swag bags! (Meow Wolf told me they want everyone to have experience tubes — bags should not be for product only we need $$)
Marque Space in critical email blasts (that’s an ad-on)
Program space (do we have that budgeted?)
Sponsor moments — ala pop-up magazine — on stage references with slides between main programming
Room sponsors — we have three rooms! We can have three sponsors!
Toilet paper sponsor
Snack and beverage sponsors — parties and between meal snacks, as opposed to the meals
Creepy in-hotel ARG shit
