10/27 - 12/10 Think Tank Gallery will host a groundbreaking show of new work by multicultural artists inspired by China's dissident Xiong Collective.
Think Tank Gallery is hosting the exiled Xiong member Lin Bo every Thursday – Sunday nights at 7:30pm for exclusive presentations that will end Sunday, December 10.
Lin Bo (b.1976, Shanghai) is a Chinese conceptual artist most often associated with the so-called “confrontation” movement. He is the first member of the Xiong Collective to speak publicly in the US. In 2012, he was jailed in China for two years as a direct result of his art piece "rally."
At Think Tank, Mr. Lin will recount "rally" and will share details of life inside Detention Center 7. In keeping with his past work, Mr. Lin’s harrowing tale becomes a piece of performance art itself, not to be missed. To access to the event – which includes a private District 798 viewing, Lin Bo’s 90-minute presentation, and a reception – please fill out the form below and then purchase a ticket via the link provided.
If approved for access, you will be emailed to collect payment of the ticket costs of $45 - $80, inclusive of food and drink.
